is it true that bread ties are color coded to tell what day the bread was baked? if so, is there more than one code or individual company-based ones? what _is_ the code?

A local bakery once used this code:

Red = Monday
White = Tuesday
Blue = Wednseday
Green = Thursday
Yellow = Friday

At my dad’s store, I don’t remember the codes, but there were no deliveries on Wednesdays. Instead there was a delivery on Saturday. People would rather have bread that was one day old than two days old.
