So I ended up working a double tonight ,and I gotta close tomorrow. Morning, mumpers! **BigKitty** , hope the interview went well and they realise they’d be fools not to hire you. It’ll be a late one for me today, we have afternoon exams that may go on until 6.30pm and it’s my turn on the rota. I might get out earlier if they finish before time but some of 'em tend to use every last bit of extra time they’re allowed. And with a bit of rearrangement of my calendar, it will be pub night tonight! I usually have my training session at the gym on Tuesday and go to the pub wth my friends on Wednesday but my trainer has left the gym to go freelance and is starting a load of Zumba classes in new venues. So for my last two weeks with her, I’ve moved to Wednesday nights…and persuaded my friends that Thursday would be an acceptable alternative for the pub. When I book my next block of sessions with her, I’ll have to find out what time she’s got spare because I need my Wednesday pub night back. It’s what keeps the universe in balance! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 71 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 92 and N.O.S. for the day. Nice day for quality cee-mint pond time. I need to add a bag of salt to the cee-mint pond which I shall do when there’s more daylight out. I shall also run the cleaner for a bit. OYKW has declared that the next four days will be no cook days. We’ll either do stuff like sammiches or go grab sump’n eat. I shall not argue with that plan. _Biblical Belly Buster_ - that was the subject like of some spam I got this morning. It easily falls into the top 5 weird subject lines! No, I didn’t open it - my curiosity wasn’t that strong. It’s my Firday, but it’ll be a long one. Right after work, I need to go to the dealer to get a recall inspection/repair to the Sonata. Then I’m hoping to stop at Aldi’s and get some ribs - this will be a good weekend for smokeage. I should probably plan to grab something for supper along the way, too - I won’t feel like cooking by the time I get home. \*\*FCD \*\*is taking today off. He’s planning to install the exhaust fan in the roof of the shed. I just hope he doesn’t fall off the ladder or anything. That would be bad. Meanwhile, piles of stuff on the desk needing my attention. Busy day ahead. \*\*\*Happy sari day!!!\*\*\*Happy Thursday! ---

Got some bills to pay and need to clean kitchen and Hoover the house (why I am so stubborn about doing the easiest cleaning job–pushing a wheeled vacuum around–is a source of mystery to me). **blurfage** Irking sans Louie today. I had to be here early and it did not fit his schedule. On the flip side I can leave early. We had two real meals in a row this week so far. Lunch is almost over. I’ve had a busy morning, and I’m getting the hang of this new process. Glad I’ve made a cheat sheet, tho - I know I’ll forget something between now and Moanday. I did remember to throw a book in the car to entertain me while I wait for the recall service to be done. Nice to know that my brain can function even when my morning routine needs to change a wee bit (the wee bit being remembering to find a book to take…) So glad today is my Firday… ---

Happy Thorsday! Thank you for all the birthday wishes! It’s another hot and N.O.S. day! We put the AC on last night because Sah-son was melting and didn’t want to open a window in his room. I’ve put getting another dog on hold because he is adamant that he doesn’t want one and I think it is better to wait. I figure when the time is right a dog will probably drop into our laps and it will be the right dog at the right time. **MetalMouse** , it’s not the vacuuming that is the problem. It’s getting the thing out, bending over furniture and/or crawling somewhere to plug it in, and then putting it back that is the problem. That and moving all the other crap out of the way. That is the problem with most house/yard irk, the irk itself it the easy part. It’s the getting stuff out and gathering it together before and putting everything back after that’s annoying. I think we are having pizza for dinner. I was going to make meatballs, but he wants pizza, and who am I to argue? The cat is annoyed. I was searching through his toy basket to find something to entertain him and I found a few treats in it. I tossed them out for him and now he _wants more treats_. I have so much to do and I’m not getting much done. First I need some lunch, I never even had breakfast. ---

Quality time at the cee-mint pond has been accomplished. There’s talk of goin’ to that paragon of fine dinin’ known as Three Squares Diner for dindin. **red** a season (well, four days) of sloth has been declared. Except for me on Sattidy mornin’ cause I already agreed to participate in mowage over to the church house. Thus no cookin’ or doin’ thins one would consider worthwhile or productive. 😃 ---

Happy Sari Day! Irked. Not looking forward to chef going, though we maybe have a replacement lined up. The big irksome bit at the moment is that the boss gave two days off I have requested multiple times over the last month and a half to the other waitress. He didn’t put it in the diary because it was ages away, only two days, midweek, and I’m normally off one of those days anyway. Then he forgot. The other waitress has now booked a hospital appointment for that day, which she can’t change, because he told her that day was fine. It’s my Great-Uncle’s 80th. He’s basically my extra Grandpa, and my parents are throwing him a big surprise party. We’ll probably have over a hundred people, and it’s 4 hours away, so I can’t just head down after irk. I’m pretty much at the point where he doesn’t get a say in whether I _go_, just whether I come back to irk afterwards… Hopefully I should at least get less stressed over the next few days though, I’m orfe camping a field of buttercups on my annual ‘get away from normality’ trip. I only get to go for 3 full days this year (the event runs for 11), but it’s a lot better than nothing. ---

We’re back from that paragon of fine dinin’ known as Three Squares Diner. We splurged and got one of the higher end meals, hamburger steak with onion gravy, smashed N.O.T., Texas toast and a green sallit. One must live it up every once in a while after all. 😃 **flytrap** it’s a life of never endin’ misery.
