# Breakfast Trays?

This might belong in Cafe Society, or even MPSIMS, but it is a _factual_ question so I’ll start it here.

Is there a standard theory of arranging an English breakfast tray? What all should go on the tray? Should it be positioned in a particular way? I do not mean English Breakfast in particular, but just the breakfast tray of an English person who happens to be wealthy enough for breakfast in bed to be a common occurence. Maybe the person is Miss Marple, and all she eats is an egg and a slice of toast and a cup of tea. Maybe it is her neighbor Colonel Bantry, who probably has cereal and bacon and eggs and who knows what else.

Just in general: what should be there, and how should it be arranged?
