According to 1010 “WINS” radio (NY), individuals with phony ID and carrying knives were intercepted at JFK and LaGuardia airports. • This is obviously scary; on the other hand– • We have live perps, or so it appears. Information-wise, this could be a very good thing. ---

The live broadcast has more and different data than the web site. They are saying box cutters, not knives; the web site does not (as of the time of this posting) mention weapons. ---

I cannot find the [nytimes.com](http://nytimes.com) article I read earlier today, but three people - two groundcrew and a pilot - beat security at a western (Sante Fe?) airport to show that the airports still aren’t being secure enough. The groundworkers walked through the security checkpoint with knives in their pockets, the pilot walked through without any identification papers. As soon as they were through, they turned around and told the security personnel exactly what they had done. I can’t give a cite, because I can’t locate the article anymore. It was linked to from [yahoo.com](http://yahoo.com). If I find it again, I’ll post it.
