OK not even news worthy but figured I’d let people know in case they were hoping he made some bizarre leap forward in the polls. He is my congressman and I only think of him at election time. He is as close to invisible as a pol can be. But just at election time he sends out glossy election pamphlets. I watch cspan and rarely see him doing anything. He may not be my congressman anymore. the Repubs redistricted the hell out of Michigan locking is more repub districts . I have heard we may get someone new, actually old, Dingell. ---

Well he had the coolest name of any presidential candidate although I thought he’d endorse Perry or Bachmann. ---

One of Romney’s earlier campaign stops was to Livonia, Michigan, where Congressman McCotter is from. McCotter wasn’t very welcoming at all, so, yeah, that’s interesting. Clearly, there’s a deal somewhere. ---

There isn’t really anyone on the Republican side that is more in line with McCotter’s politics then Romney. He’s better off picking Romney if he’s looking for future political clout. Bachmann or Perry aren’t going to pay back McCotter for his support. ---

Bachmann or Perry aren’t going to pay back McCotter for his support. That’s not necessarily the case. McCotter is a decent balance between Bachmann and Romney. If I recall, Bachmann and McCotter do-signed a letter with other GOP reps for the President to release his birth certificate not too long ago. McCotter is a skilled politician, but he’s pretty hardcore right. ---

McCotter has had his district changed by the Republican legislature so he can run from the Bahamas and win. He has huge security now.
