Our first child was an avid, long term nurser, and kept BoringMom from getting pregnant for 2 years. We tried and tried to get her pregnant again while nursing, (oooh, it was terrible work. “SEX NOW” she would yell. So to answer inkleberry’s question, apparently her libido came back when she decided she wanted another child.) When she weaned, sister #2 came right away.
Sister #2 must have wanted a baby sister really badly. She was not as strong a nurser, and slept more during the night. So our two forms of teenage birth control failed us, and #3 came along by suprise. Never having seen a period, we didn’t know she was pregnant until the second tri-mester. Her goal of a baby sister accomplished, #2 became a more avid nurser at that point, and no problems were encountered nursing during pregnancy.
