# Brick Shithouse and Women??

Prior to this column: [How did the phrase “built like a brick shithouse” get to be a compliment?](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/030704.html), I’d never heard this phrase used as a compliment for an attractive woman, only to describe stocky, football-player guys.

Is the usage as a compliment very common in the U.S.?
