(I Googled looking for the Pit thread on **Bricker**. There are dozens to choose from! I chose this one because I like the title).

First some background. When the North Dakota GOP figures out a clever way to deprive thousands of D voters of their franchise, **Bricker** writes:

> [@North Dakota Voter ID Law Bars Native Americans from Polls](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/north-dakota-voter-id-law-bars-native-americans-from-polls/822839/10):
>
> … Or (and spoiler alert: this is the right answer) the law is proper based on the standards in Crawford v Marion County, the Eighth Circuit noted that North Dakota would be likely to proceed on the merits and thus refused to enjoin them from enforcing it state-wide, and the Supreme Court, equally correctly, declined to overturn that decision.
>
> Now, some of youse will piously claim that even though it’s legal, it’s Wrong.
>
> Don’t care what you think. We decide things in this country without relying on what you say is Wrong, especially when your standards are so flexible.

Paraphrasing **Bricker** :
“We’re a country of laws, not of morality. Trying to have a sense of ‘right and wrong’ is futile. For every right-thinker there will be pig-headed haters like me and my ilk. Therefore it must all be about Laws **Laws Laws!! What is LEGAL!** If it was _legal_ for the GOP to deny those Native Americans and students the right to vote, then it was proper for them to do so.”
Got it.

**Bricker** is an equal-opportunity hater. Georgia GOP wants to cheat a hundred thousand citizens of their franchise and **Bricker** is all for that too:

> [@Georgia purges 1 in 10 voters from voter rolls](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/georgia-purges-1-in-10-voters-from-voter-rolls/822742/93):
>
> See, that’s the difference between your scheme and the one I support: mine was passed by the legislature, signed into law by the executive, and passed constitutional muster by the judiciary.
>
> Yours hasn’t. But if you get it past all those hurdles, I’ll acknowledge it as legitimate law.
>
> Go get 'em, champ!

Georgia’s cheating was LEGAL. The GOP would be remiss in its fiduciary duty to the billionaires who own them if they _didn’t cheat_.
Got it.

_ **But now, watch closely as this sanctimonious, hyper-partisan hypocrite shows his true colors:** _

In a new GD thread, **Bricker** tries to play _Tu Quoque_ on GOP measures to cheat in elections:

> [@Do Democrats suppress Republican votes anywhere?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/do-democrats-suppress-republican-votes-anywhere/822898/2):
>
> [my emphasis — I’ve reddened the complaint by a few D’s that Bricker treats snidely]
>
> Let me guess. You get to define what “suppress,” voters means, and it won’t mean gerrymandering, and it won’t mean arguing that **military absentee ballots should not be counted** because they lack postmarks, which military mail often does, but it WILL mean Voter ID and voter registration roll verifications.
>
> Right?

I wonder if he’s self-aware enough to see the irony. He’s condemning the Democrats _ **who wanted to follow the law!** _

As **ElvisL1ves** points out, **Bricker** has his facts wrong but wrong facts are _de riguer_ for modern Republiopaths; my complaint is deeper:

> [@Do Democrats suppress Republican votes anywhere?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/do-democrats-suppress-republican-votes-anywhere/822898/5):
>
> IIUC, it was _illegal_ to count those military ballots but the majority of Democrats acquiesced to their counting without pursuing legal remedies — _even though all know these ballots would favor Bush by a huge margin_. _ **This was to show respect to young Americans in uniform.** _ And thus Bush, rather than Gore, became the 43rd President of the United States.
>
> Regardless of the _morality_ of the situation, the _ **LAW** _ required that the ballots NOT be counted. I am not entirely uncertain that Dopers who usually advocate for conformity with the LAW would not advocate for the LAW in this case also, were the party alignment reversed.

I wrote “I am not entirely uncertain that Dopers who usually advocate for conformity with the LAW would not advocate for the LAW in this case also, were the party alignment reversed” because **Bricker** whines to the Mods when I call a spade a spade outside the Pit. I’m in the Pit now so let me make my point with more straightforward language:
This hypocrite whines and whines that only the law matters when the law is on the side of Trump, the GOP and his other fellow cheaters and haters. BUT, when the GOP ILLEGALLY counts delinquent absentee ballots in Florida (and Democrats go along out of a sense of fair play, despite that it cost them the election) _ **Bricker condemns the Democrats who wanted to follow the law!!** _

The OP was right. “Bricker is a Pile of Shit Sculpted into Human Shape”
