First off, Sam…I dropped a twenty on a local VFW collection plate two weeks ago. We’re even. But Bricker and Doors! I’ve tried to contact you both to pay off and gotten nothing back. What’s the deal? ---

Hmmm… Did we have a bet? Who won? I can’t remember one way or the other. And I checked my e-mail, which admittedly I do rather infrequently unless I’m expecting something, and I haven’t gotten anything from you since August (I never throw anything away). I’m rather curious about this myself. ---

Therefore, with alcohol being the (comparatively) easy thing to give up (i.e. not easy at all), I quit drinking last week. So I am unable to accept the payoff on that bet. But here’s what you can do for me. Get your newborn something fun for Christmas. Use it to take your wife out to dinner. Something family oriented. 'Tis the season, after all.
