So I finally saw Whiplash last night, and all that drumming reminded me of a brief animated scene involving someone drumming on a drum set, while chasing someone else. It’s in a mock-1970s-cheap-animation (and maybe psychedelic) style, I think, with the drummer and equipment jumping forward every few seconds. Maybe something from Family Guy? ---

Simpsons did it!! Bart learns to play drums and is chased by the White Stripes after a rock & roll collision. [![](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/t5HdwiESYJs/hqdefault.jpg "The White Stripes The Hardest Button To Button ft Bart Simpson") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5HdwiESYJs) ---
