I very much liked Pulaski. I thought she was smart and strong enough to go toe to toe with any male member of Starfleet and get away with it with grace and dignity. Crusher, on the other hand seemed a preachy snit (kinda like Dixy Carter in Designing Women) Perhaps they were trying to recreate the sucess of the McCoy/Spock relationship. Who can blame them? It was only the second season and they were searching for ways to improve the show. Although I think the goading she did of Data was misdirected. She should have taken that sharp wit and equally sharper mind and put J-L P (or the womanising Rikker) in his place. Pulaski was not a badly created character. She showed somethings we humans hate in ourselves, and as always Gene wanted his happy-go-lucky-love-filled perfect world of his. What they had was a badly used character. I rekkin’ if they’d have made the character of a race other than human, she’d have went over so much better. ---

I didn’t like her either. She was mean to Data and she had a stupid hairdo. And she was always like “Noonie noonie noo, I’m better than you are lolly lolly.” ---

Dr Pulaski always reminded me of a former doctor of mine who said “Don’t worry your little head about it.” But then, the actress always came across that way to me, no matter what roles she was playing, including Dr. Miranda Jones. ---

I think **TelconstarStorm** (WTF does _that_ mean?) summed it up best. Still, I disliked the character as written. With better scenes, she might have been a good addition. One thing her character did do, is inadvertantly cause the situation which gave rise to a new life form. Bonus points for you if you can name the ep and the life form. (hint: Star Date 42286.3) And the ep with the super children caused one of the biggest nits I ever had with _any_ Trek. The eternal life transporter. Think about it and you’ll see why it was a nit. _Unnatural Selection_ Star Date 42494.8 Then there was _Send In The Clones_… She got a raw deal in the Trek universe, but then, so did we (having to suffer through her season). Stupid writers. ---

Data had enough intellectual puzzles just living daily - he didn’t need some fake-me-out Oscar Madison with a tricorder messing up his life. (Can ya tell I’m a lil’ biased? heh.) I just don’t think she fit. Transporters and artifically intelligent computers existed when Pulaski was born. It’s like my four year old suddenly deciding to listen to her Elmo music on LP’s when she’s never seen a record player up close. ---

She was just a rude, annoying. Given her general xenophobia (she didn’t just have issues with Data. She had them all over the place), dislike of technology, and problems with authority, you couldn’t figure out what the hell she was doing on a starship in the first place. The character was horribly written. The actress didn’t help anything, either. ---

Damn you, Friedo… I was going to answer that question and prove myself to be the Ultimate Trek Geek but you had to go and ruin it. Oh, and Janeway’s definitely doable. Uhura’s the only Trek female that I’ve never found attractive although it did take me years to be turned onto Kira. ---

Pulaski was horrible. She always seemed mean-spirited to me, and just didn’t seem to fit in with the rest. Beverly was nicer and better looking, too. BTW…babe wise…Uhura was always a honey to me. And Janeway. Troi and 7 of 9 go without saying, I think. Beverly’s a cutie. Kira was all right, and I was terribly unhappy that the security officer-girl that was Data’s would-be girlfriend was killed by the tar-pit thing. ---
