It may be theme-dependent. It works for me with the Straight Dope Light theme (on Firefox); haven’t tried it with other themes. I think this feature was just added very recently, like today. ---

it works for the vincent theme and the front page now looks like about as close to the old board as they can get ---

Agree. This was about the only thing I was really missing from the old Dope, so THANK YOU to the PTB!!! Firefox, Vincent here. I’ve settled into the whole situation quite happily. It does keep automatically removing my quotes, though. I’ll figure it out sooner or later. I hope. ---

It works for me on Vincent (but the background is too dark to tolerate) and Straight Dope Light (Chrome). ---

So I tested _all_ the themes and the only one that doesn’t have mouseover preview is Sam’s Simple. ---

I’m on SD-Dark theme and I don’t see mouseovers. I tried three different themes, both Chrome and Firefox, and still see nothing. I think y’all are just messing with me. ---

That could be it. I’m on a laptop with an external monitor, but the laptop screen is touch-enabled. If this is the cause, it’s poor programming. To determine if mouseovers are enabled, they should be looking for the absence of a pointing device, not the existence of a touch screen. ---
