Righto, it was the **Ottoman Cafe** in West End I was thinking of. **Burnt Suger** , **Fire Engine** and myself are gonna test it out in a couple of hours. I’ll get as soft a meal as I can just to see what’s available! 🙂 ---

So we’ve decided on: **Ahmet’s Licenced Turkish Restaurant Shop 10, 164 Little Stanley St/Grey St South Bank At 7pm Saturday the 30th** (9 days away!) Since it’s closer to the big parking lots there :). Final role call so I can book the right sized table! (we’ll miss you Cicero, btw :)) Me Burnt Sugar Go You Big Red Fire Engine Primaflora auliya don’t ask Maxxxie xenonymous (?) Anyone else? Is your SO coming, Maxxxie? Hope to see you all there! ---

Bugger. (please note - Australian colloquial usage of word) ☹ I have to cancel - I am required, on pain of excommunication from my family, to ferry various family members to my grandaughters 7th birthday on the 30th. I hope you all enjoy - next time , hopefully ---

I have booked planes, cars and hotels (one of each really). and as a registered psychiatric nurse can possibly calm the nerves of those about to confront exams. ---

It’s booked under “Robb.” I’m thinking of having a sign saying “Straight Dope” on the table or something. Regardless, Fire Engine has short red hair and Burnt Sugar has really curly blonde hair so finding everyone shouldn’t be too hard, especially as the table is outside! ---

> [@Cicero](#): > > Go you good things! **Cicero** , I know you’re not coming, but please clarify something for me. **Goldy** and I were discussing the fest a while back and he said something about checking the menu to ensure there were soft foods for you. Oh heavens, it was only my strange sense of humour. Now you make me feel bad- enjoy yourselves, and I wish I could be there. It has nothing to do with your comments. (BTW I have a hide like a rhino anyway). Cheers :wally ---

And a wonderful time was had by all! It was an excellent choice of venue, thankyou **Cicero**! It’s a shame no-one thought to bring a camera though :smack: Obviously we will have to get together again for another Brisbane Dopefest, in order to get photos! 😃 Max. ---

I had a blast! I’m wondering a bit how I come off online though because two separate people told me I’m not at all what they were expecting… thought **Don’t Ask** assured me it’s just because I’m not as fishy. And it did feel a bit odd saying our sn’s out loud – Silentgoldfish doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue! **Maxxxie’s** right, the only improvement we need next time is a camera!
