I wish them much happiness, but why am I not surprised by the first name? ---

I hope they manage to slip out of the spotlight, and that Bristol waits a few years before bringing forth the siblings Trapp, Troll, and Bridge. ---

Easton is new and trendy (something like #350 on the list of top baby names for US boys, and it came out of nowhere over the last few years, probably as part of the -en/-on naming trend), and Mitchell has been in the top thousand for decades. No indication they’re married yet though the baby has the father’s last name.😕 I think Obama should offer them the Rose Garden to get married in like they planned. ---

It’s relatively common practice that the baby receives the fathers last name, despite the marital status of the parents, so long as there’s no question of the paternity of the baby. ---
