Congrats! I felt so sorry for her and the father in this, being thrust into the spotlight due to her mother being a VP nominee. Just a typical story, but theirs was all of a sudden some deep, meaningful metaphore. :rolleyes: I hope they don’t get married if they don’t really want to (and I suspect the fact that her mom’s ticket lost opens up their options in that respect a bit more) ---

Not that I’m fond of Tripp but, with different parents, the poor kid could have found himself named Fairbanks Bandar-log. So he’s got that going for him. ---

yes, tripp is an odd choice. odd choices seem to be the thing in the palin/johnson clans. what i find a bit difficult to wrap my brain around is bristol and levi dropping out of high school. yes, people make mistakes… yes, accidents happen… some times protection doesn’t protect… but dropping out of school in your senior year… ah well. i do hope things work out for the 3 kids. ---

Tripp is a bit odd but not too bad. I’ve seen it as a nickname as mentioned above but never as a real first name. Not outside a Louis L’Amour story anyway. ---

After all, you’ve got yourself _and_ a kid to take care of for the next 18 years. The Palins can’t afford a nanny while she finishes out the school year? ---
