If you do, just bear in mind how many beans there are in one cookie, and how many cookies you’ve eaten. Don’t go giving yourself a heart murmur or suchlike. But _do_ let us know if it works, tastewise. ---

Espresso bean cookies - sounds like a good multipurpose confectionary to me. I’ll bake the cake too, on the premise that it has to be _someone’s_ birthday, and I enjoy baking cakes with the child (though she rarely gets to eat them poor thing). Any more offers of baked goods? Anyone want to do something savoury? ---

If anyone needs an excuse for a cake, well my birthday was 3 weeks ago now, but nobody made me a cake…and I spent it sick with bronchitis. So bake away! (Although I am beginning to wonder at what point the pub will have issues with all this outside food. I will defer on pub etiquette issues to the British Contingent.) ---

It’s only one cake and some cookies and mince pies (and some Rugelach, whatever that is). That’s not really a lot of food. We don’t have to bring it all out at the same time either. If the lesbian bars I go to are happy with me taking cake there, I don’t see why the straight bars should be any different. ---
