Oh, and **garius** , rather than being accused of being a waste of space, I recall that I was merely being asked to justify being a useful member of society, who gets paid by the taxpayer. ---

Yes, because if we didnā€™t have any astrophysics _teachers_, we soon wouldnā€™t have any astrophysicists at all. And then what would we do? (No-one look at me, Iā€™m a maths student. I donā€™t justify what I do.) ---

Yes, but not everyone with a degree in astrophysics or even physics goes in to research, many many more go into industry, and the financial sector, amongst other things. So nyah! šŸ˜› ---
