I’d just like to say that this is the most successful thread I’ve ever started - over 800 posts and counting. I wonder if we’ll make the big 1K before the event itself? While we quietly celebrate and stand in awe of this collective achievement, aware that only a small fraction of these posts have had anything to do with actually organising a Dopefest, let us pay tribute to those who have toiled in the most Stakhanovite fashion to deliver this result. According to that very handy stat counter which appears on the forum menu, I myself have only posted 40 times in this thread (including this post). **SciFiSam** has managed 21 contributions, **Tir** has popped in 24 times and **Gyrate** is the first to break the half century, having clicked his way hither on no fewer than 54 occasions. Then it gets quite fiercely competitive: **Eva Luna** 55 **Paulberserker** 55 **Garius** 69 (and that’s with a week or so off) **Shade** 91 These stats help to cast into sharp relief the achievement of one among us. Ladies and gentlemen, we are not worthy. Behold, I give you our one and only Knee-biting Astronomerette, the very great and glorious: **Angua** 247 ! (Stats correct at the time of posting) ---

At risk of adding to my post count, not to mention being compared to other fearless and merciless Soviet functionaries, I have a question for **ianzin:** are you bothered by these stats? Do you want us to remain more focused on actual planning? (And hey, a significant proportion of my posts did actually relate to planning and travel logistics.) Or are you just in awe at the sheer volume? ---
