Oh, its all right really, I’m just being maudlin. I wouldn’t actually go out with her because A) She’s my boss. B) I want to settle down, and I can’t really see myself in any sort of relationship with her beyond the physical. C) Her heart belongs to Johnny Wilkinson And in order to avoid a complete hijack, the Mongolian is actually pretty good. ---

Well, so much for **Ianzin’s** hope for better weather than 22nd. It’s pooey weather. This must means lots of indoor activities, shopping is out unless it means staying in one large store, and everyone else will be doing that, so maybe its drinkie poos! ---

well i lurked. couldn’t find anyone at charing cross cuz it was closed, so i headed to chardons, it was packed so i went to the imperial and had two beers. i got bored, and went to silver cross at 6:30 but a drunk guy was chasing me around so i was barely there for 5 minutes. if anyone saw a girl with a blue backpack and a blue and orange bears scarf it was me. ---

Having now actually had more than 2 consecutive hours of sleep, may I say that you folks certainly know how to make a girl feel welcome? I’m on a public computer, so I can’t post properly obnoxious commentary just yet (plus a) the caffeine hasn’t kicked in yet - and you folks say you make strong tea! Hah! and b) I’m sure some of you - and I’m looking at you, **ianzin** can do that far more effectively than I). And it appears that if I hang out with you guys again, I should just pick a backrub victim at random if I want one in return). But you’re all lovely, at least the ones I got to talk to! Remind me to post the rugelach recipe when I get home, and maybe an excerpt from Leo Rosten’s _The Joys of Yiddish_ on the ethnocoltural history of rugelach, when I get home on the 10th if I can stay awake long enough… And now it’s off to the V&A! Yippee! ---

Despite being prevented from leaving in timely fashion due to the overrunning quiz I did in fact manage to make it into work this morning in an almost punctual display of determinism and sheer work-ethic. In fact my skill was such that the only time the veneer of polite attentiveness began to crack was when confronted with the legendary (and, oh, so convincing) “I pay your wages” argument. All in all an excellent fest involving more erudition, cleavage, expense and tickling than may be reasonably believed. ---

I ended up missing my last train home (by one minute) and had to crash at my friend Isa’s (who came to the last mini-Londope for two whole minutes). This entailed going to the Candy Bar and meeting up with our Finnish friend who is currently staying with us, being chatted up by 16-year-old experimental straight girls (conversation: ‘What do you do?’ ‘A-levels. What do you do?’ ‘I’m a teacher …’ Bit of a non-starter that one), becoming good friends with a truly bent copper and scaring the people on the bus, even in Soho. I’m just so _normal_ compared to all my friends. :rolleyes: ---
