# Britain: Has it Purposely Aided Terrorism?

Britain and everybody else it seems. I wonder how much the US pumped into Afghanistan during the 80’s. Hell, even Rambo was over there helping them out.

It is likely that the UK has aided terrorists in many differant theatres over many years.

It also depends upon what you mean by terrorist.

There are organisations that started off as terrorists and became governments(Israel for instance), there are groups whose cause at the time coincided with UK interests. As time has passed those groups have then turned and directed their operations against the UK-Al qaeda is the most notable.

There again some governments are little else but terrorist, Saddam Hussain, various regional commanders in Somalia.

The US the UK and pretty much every major power on both sides of the cold war divide have cynically used terrorist groups when it suited them, or they have even created the unrest for those groups to thrive in.

What’s new about all that ?
