While the performance sucked (I saw it on Youtube as I do not have cable), I don’t think she looked bad at all. If I was single, I’d go for her. Maybe she wasn’t stick-thin with her rock-hard abs of times past, but I know just about any straight Doper male and a handful of the ladies would pay money to hit that and be damn grateful, the way she looked last night. It’s too easy to play “Internet Male” and criticize a good-looking girl when she’s gone from hot to merely cute. ---

I am _so_ glad that I watched the Giants/Cowboys instead of this crap. I watched the videos after hearing about the trainwreck, and _damn_, for once the gossips are right. She looked awful, whoever told her to wear that should be fired and the dancing was crap. I’ve seen better in strip clubs…without the potbelly she was advertising. If she thinks this is the “I’m still the hottest thing around” revival, she is sadly mistaken. She should concentrate on the music and fucking fire whoever is in charge of wardrobe. Silverman came off as mean and kinda lame to me, like beating a baby seal. Not many laughs from the crowd semed to reinforce my opinion. Her biggest laugh was from ripping on $0.50 for being alive at that point. Going after the kids was “out of bounds” AFIWC, and she was just trying to get on some gossip site. I usually like her material, but this time I found myself asking for her to just get of my TV. ---

[/QUOTE] Trust me, you are lucky to have seen it on Youtube where the video quality is, um…passsible shall we say. Viewed in the full manner it was presented, she was pretty, um, lumpy? To be wearing a bikini and (sorta) dancing around, shouldn’t you be prety good shape? She was jiggling around in places she shouldn’t have been jiggling. I don’t deny I would have hit it when I was single, but for a performer to come out like that and try to be the sex symbol she once was is pretty sad. ---

This is something to save, to show the younger generation how someone can go from rags to riches to totally fucked up and stoned out of one’s gourd and the laughing stock of the entertainment industry in less than 10 years. Holy crap, man. Woohee, she looks stoned beyond words. Word has it that she was out partying and clubbing the couple nights before the awards. ---

Even if the stuff about Criss Angel and Sarah Silverman is accurate, Britney has been performing since she was 10 years old. It’s her job. She ought to have been able to flip that switch, go on stage and make it work somehow. I contrast that with the video of Beyonce going ass over teakettle that everybody was laughing about a while back, but man, she got up and went right on singing like nothing happened; that’s what a professional is supposed to do. I mean, I feel some sympathy for her disintegrating so publicly, but at the same time, she has done everything she can to keep those cameras trained on her. “I just want the media to leave me alone! Hey, where is everybody going? Look at meeeeeeee!” ---

Geobabe just about nailed what I was gonna say. As long as she’s paid thousands for her “work” she should be professional about it. No “poor Britney” from me. Now, Britney doesn’t have to have a perfect body, since she’s a mother of two after all; but could she find something to wear a bit less trashy-revealing. I’ll add that Silverman was just very obnoxious, NOT obnoxious-funny. ---

[This](http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1569208&vid=174388) is a video of her rehearsing Saturday that looks about 150 times better than what we saw last night. Notice how she’s still wearing a belly shirt, but that little extra bit of fabric really makes her body look fab. She screwed the pooch by wearing that weird glitter bikini thing. Hell, she even has way more energy in the rehearsal than she did at the show. Clearly something was really, really bothering her at the show. Or she was on drugs. Whichever. ---

Of course shes wearing a hat and sunglasses so you can’t see her deer in headlights look and shes not trying to lip sing at all, but the jeans and belly shirt do make her look much hotter. ---

And with Britney, it’s happening right before our eyes. Whitney Houston just sort of disappeared for a few years and then re-emerged on the cover of _Crack Whore_ magazine. I agree, the outfit at the rehearsal looked SO much better on her. I don’t mind that she’s not in the same shape she was pre-kids–it’s kind of refreshing that she didn’t follow the same “lose the baby weight in two weeks” path that most Hollywood women do–but what she wore last night was about the most unflattering thing she could have chosen.
