Not for British or American usage, no. We generally use commas in that position (assuming you mean forty-three million dollars, that is).

I love these threads where we “yanks” get condemned for our use of the “English” language, only to sit and listen while non US citizens argue about what an item is called. Personally, I think it’s great that there’s such diversity in an otherwise common language. If y’all could only get it straight then we could really jaw amongst ourselves.
