Actually, it doesn’t. There are far more EU trucks on UK roads than vice versa. And switching cabs at Calais or Dover is a trivial solution.
Isn’t Theresa May a closet remainer? Or so they say. And she’s put 3 500 troops on standby.
Also, in a thread over in Great Debates, PatrickLondon higlighted this: Secret Cabinet Office document reveals chaotic planning for no-deal Brexit | Brexit | The Guardian (Thanks, Patrick). Read that and tell me there’s nothing to worry about.
Anyway, pleased to make your acquaintance, Staggerlee.
I made a simple decision weeks ago to (as far as is feasible) de-risk my life. Here’s a thing - the shelflife of tinned and dried goods is typically more than a year. So you can buy a whole year’s worth now and there’s no downside. It comes to about 50 litres. In a country that imports about 50% of its food (https://researchbriefings.parliament.uk/ResearchBriefing/Summary/CDP-2016-0003, see download) and has limited port access etc etc etc (not going through all that again), it isn’t going to take much panic buying to cause chaos.

Catch-22, of course.
[hijack]I knew somewhat of what a mews house was but wanted to know more, so I Googled it and one of the auto-answers was “Why is it called a mews?”, and thanks to another recent Dope thread, for the rest of the night I am going to be singing “And I guess that’s why they call it the mews” to myself
I wish all Leave voters could read this and understand the sort of suffering that their selfish actions have caused. We have people here who are having to delay their trips to Guatemala by 18 months or more, for god’s sake.
