My favourite iteration of that gag was when LeClair turned up disguised as a ridiculous Italian organ-grinder, complete with monkey, did his “It is I, LeClair!” reveal, and Rene retorted disgustedly “Keep your voice down, you’re embarrassing the monkey”. That line became a running family joke whenever anyone said anything stupid.
