Maybe it’s just me but I feel bad for the other chandelier, Jewel. Sure, Jewel gets to spend nights in bed with Amanda but it must break his heart to know that she really loves Lumiere. Ideally Jewel could break up with Amanda and go out and find a woman who will look beyond his physical beauty and love him for his inner qualities. But he can’t because, you know, he’s just a chandelier. ---

The way the OP capitalized the word “OPEN,” it made it sound as if the unusual part about this relationship was the fact that it was open, and not exclusive. ---

My impression is that female objectophliacs do tend toward monogamy. Certainly one of the most well-known instances, [Eija-Riitta Berliner-Mauer](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/2035996/Woman-married-to-Berlin-Wall-for-29-years.html), was apparently happily married to the Berlin Wall for 29 years until he was (horrifically, from her perspective) torn down. This fidelity may, of course, not be reciprocal, since an American woman claims to have been in a relationship with the Berlin Wall for twenty of those years ([she has since married the Eiffel Tower](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erika_Eiffel)). The widow Berliner-Mauer is currently in a relationship with a garden fence. ---
