Biggirl, I hope you are not referring to my post because I did not mean to imply that shaving your head or having tattoos meant insanity. However, I was taking into account Britney’s seemingly self-destructive behavior of the past few years as signs that she was not very stable. I’ve got no problem with people shaving their heads or with getting tattoos (or heck, even flashing their “cooter”). However, I do think you need to look at the reasons behind someone’s actions as a clue to their internal thought processes. For example, if I shave my head because I think it will look cool and stand out from the masses, that’s one reason. But if on the other hand, I shave my head because I don’t want people “touching me” all the time, it seems a little unusual. And that’s one of the alleged reasons she gave for shaving her hair. But like I said, these two characteristics alone would not lead me to conclude that anything’s wrong with her, but coupled with strange internet video posts, interview breakdowns, quickie marriages, reports of collapsing at parties, I think that she might just need some stability in her life. ---

As I remember, Sinead went Kojak after a manager got pushy about her hairstyle. Mrs. Fed-Ex, on the other hand is a tabloid darling. You see her face at the supermarket checkout every time she hiccups. Britney’s publicist must have the easiest job in the world. All he has to do to keep Spears in the public eye is…nothing. Britney gets a wee tattoo? Big deal. Britney makes a flambouyant change in her appearance? Eh, maybe 16-year old boys care. It is as significant as this post is. ---
