The Hawaii case, currently in the news, is also being discussed [in the old newly-resurrected Rosenhan thread](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/how-is-the-rosenhan-experiment-viewed-in-modern-psychiatry/631070/19), which I think is the more relevant thread for it. It doesn’t really have much to do with Britney Spears.
