I think I’d prefer a sculpture of Britney seated in the drivers seat of an SUV with a Starbucks cup in one hand and her kid in the other. ---

Clearly tongue in cheek. The piece is very clever, I like it. For me it says, “Hey Pro lifers - you say every pregnancy is precious and should be carried to term? OK, here you go - your #1 favorite cause, in all its natural, animal glory - choke on it! … What? … Mom’s a trashy whore and dad’s a low-brow redneck sloth? … What POSSIBLE difference does that make to YOU? … Rejoice!” It must be said, though, that Jeff Koons was doing stuff like this to death 15 years ago. (Ciccolina, anyone?) I am also reminded of the famous Roman bronze statue, of the she-wolf suckling the infants Romulus and Remus. ---

Google ad: “Humor Writing Workshops.” Take it for what it’s worth. I don’t know, I can kind of see Britney’s face a bit in the third shot. Real or joke? That’s what art is all about. It doesn’t matter; what matters is it gets people talking and thinking.
