Brown Slacks

[QUOTE=chaoticbear]
When you say brown, I assume that you mean dark brown?/QUOTE]

Medium brown. I can’t think of an example right now other than to say maybe halfway between khaki and milk chocolate.

Oh, never mind. I don’t own any pants that color. All of mine are either khaki-colored or chocolate-colored.

I wear brown pants a lot. I have a bright pink top, an orange-sherbet top, a turquoise and an apple green. I have a black and brown print top and I then can wear black shoes. I wear gold-toned shoes, too. If I wear a white or cream top, I need a lot of jewelry with gold and colored beads, like turquoise or coral. I have a chocolate brown suit that makes my skin look warmer than a black suit does. Brown is good.

Geez, I, too, must have been raised by wolves…!

I own only black shoes. Why? Because it’s too damn hard to find shoes that fit my feet so collecting a rainbow is near impossible and certainly not practical. So, black it is because it matches most colors and, I thought, everything in my closet. I usually wear black hose with the shoes while in skirt or dress for much the same reasons - it doesn’t clash too badly with most things. Or so I thought.

I’m sorry, I think some of these rules are just crap dreamed up by the fashion industry so everyone would think they need a complete separate set of accessories (including shoes/belt/whatever) for each and every outfit, thereby extracting money from wallets for their own enrichment.

But mostly, I’m clueless about fashion. I just don’t get it 90% of the time. I HATE shopping for clothes. The current fashions look like shit, and have for the last 3 decades (probably longer, but I’m not that old).

So I will continue to wear black shoes with everything, including brown pants.

Maybe I’ll do an image search for brown slacks and see if anyone has clothes similar to mine…
