I haven’t found any places that do the alternate “solids” (e.g. lychee jelly) - just the tapioca. The one I had yesterday was like a peach slushie and was tasty enough.
There was, briefly, a Lollicup in northern VA but no more. Some oriental restaurants have them, I think. The one I got was at a Korean bakery near my office.
The only places I see much variety is at self-serve yogurt places that also have bubble tea. Some of them have the jellies and poppers for toppings, and also put them in the tea on request. The shop I frequent has strawberry, mango, and lychee poppers.
You people are gross!
