Yeah, he’s been in a lot of Adam Sandler movies, and since this is form Sandler’s production house (Happy Madison,) I guess he’s promoting it? But it’s not like he’s a big star…people only know him because of the Adam Sandler movies and go, “Oh, it’s that guy who had a bit part in Happy Gilmore.” I think his biggest role was one of the gay lawyers in Bug Daddy. So why is he the one doing those stupid promos:=? Is he actually in it? If so, how come they don’t show his scenes? It’s all very confusing…it’s one thing to make a bad movie, it’s quite another to deliberately sabotage it with the worst promos imaginable. Even if (and that’s the biggest if in the world) the movie was actually good, we’d have no way of knowing that…the latest promos have barely five seconds of the actual movie, with maybe one word or have of a line at a time. Maybe they’re going for a sort of “The Producers” kind of thing? ---

Oh sweet Jesus. One reviewer said “This may be the worst movie Pauly Shore has ever been in.” That’s really fucking harsh. They’re saying this movie is worse than _Bio-Dome_. ---

It opened poorly Friday night. Box Office Mojo has it listed at #12 with $540K. So that’s nice to see. It has a per screen average of $360 which is actually better than some other top 15 movies, e.g, Apollo 18 at #8 with $263 per screen. Hopefully the ads will end ASAP, no point in throwing good money after bad. ---

[Box Office Mojo](http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/) has the weekend estimates. And there’s a bit of a surprise. No, it’s not that _Bucky_ did well. It will end up about 15th with $1450k for a per-screen average of $967. That’s really bad for a 1500 screen release. Very rare. The surprise is that this disaster isn’t the worst wide release of the weekend! _Creature_ will end 26th or worse with $331k on slightly more screens for an average of $220. [Box Office Mojo](http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=3270&p=.htm) says that’s the worst opening for a 1500+ screen release. So Sandler & Co. can at least say “Could be worse, it could have been _Creature_.” To have two such pathetic openings in one weekend is really unusual. Welcome to the post-summer dumping ground folks. (BOM says that the averages come out to about 8 people per showing of _Bucky_ and 6 for _Creature_. That doesn’t add up. It should be less than 2 per showing (!) for _Creature_. Not counting the crickets.)
