I always wonder just how real any reality show is. Buddy did seem legitimately PO’d but who knows. I assume this show will follow the standard template, keeping it mostly even for the duration of the competition. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the series ended in a tie. Anyway, I understood the judges’ comments but the cracks in Duff’s fondant and the fact that his hydraulics didn’t work should’ve kept him from a win. ---

Buddy’s fondant had imperfections as well. Buddy’s cake was HUGE but size was not one of the judging criteria. Duff’s cake had more attention to detail which I think put him over the top. Either way, at the end of the show (give the baking challenge and the decorating challenge), the score is tied. ---

This show is a bad idea. I don’t think it will help either one’s brand. A one time competition might have made more sense with the option for rematches. I also disagree with having only one judge. I think they both came off worse than before. ---
