Dog piss or cat piss, which tastes better? 🙂 I’d have to go with light, at least the bitter piss flavor is watered down somewhat. ---

NONONO. Budweiser is a fine cheap beer. It’s like Shasta Cola. You don’t want to be serving it at a nice dinner, but if someone offers you one you don’t turn it down. Bud Light is like Mr. Pibb, a lonely lonely step child. ---

If I were forced with the decision of drinking a bottle of Bud or drinking a bottle of Bud Lite… Hmmm… Let me think. I believe I would smash the bottles together and use the shards to slash my wrists. ---

You guys are too tough on beers. To me, the only _bad_ beer is one that you can’t get out of the bottle. Between Bud and Bud Lite, it would depend on how much I was going to drink. Just having one beer, I’d choose regular Bud, Bud Lite tastes watered down to me. But if I was going to drink it all night, I’d choose Bud Lite, regular Budweiser gives me a headache if I drink a lot of it. It’s the only beer I know of that does. Jim ---

Hear! Hear! A man of my own tastes! JimB, I have to admit, next time I’m up your way, we’ll have to conversate on the finer points of cheap beer and the finer points of not so cheap beer. Personally, I’m a Miller man. Guess I got it from my dad. I try to get MGD, which is pretty good, but the MGD Lite is not so good. Usually everyone has Miller Lite on draft, which is a good, cheap beer. Yes, if you plan on having more beer, or beer with a heavy meal, always go light. You’ll not feel that _ten pounds of doo-doo in a five pound bag_ and you won’t be slowed down as much. As for the OP, I’d say Bud Lite is better to me, but like I said, I’m a Miller man. The Budweiser seems to be a bit heavier than most beers, and I feel it. Bud Lite tends to be the closest to Miller Lite around (Good, Bad? Who cares…) But of course, the best beer is always, (looks to JimB) FREE BEER! ---

Lararus7, I always assume that being a rice beer was the reason Bud was the one regular beer that gave me a headache. Brood, you should have come up last weekend for the RenFair Dopefest. I’m a Coors man myself, but I don’t dislike Bud. I will always take real beer over light beer, so in this case it would be regular Bud. ---

Maybe it’s just because I drank some much cheap beer when I was a kid/young adult, but Bud, Miller, Coors et al tastes like water to me. (I’ll let someone else reference Monty Python) I’ve got three words for everybody to consider Newcastle - Brown - Ale Now that’s got some flavor! ---

Why would any one with any taste drink Bud? Maybe if I was dying of thirst in the desert **and** there wasn’t any horse piss available, then I guess I _might_ drink a Bud. As for MGD if I’m in the mood to drink water, then I guess I’ll drink water. There are plenty of good beers to be found. Why start off a good buzz by drinking something akin to toilet water? ---

Well, after reading this thread, looks like I had better head to the package store. Thanks guys. Zette… Will look for that Hard Lemonade. Years ago they had something out called Hoppin Gator. Bud or Bud lite? Bud. Light beer is a waste. 1/3 less calories? I’d rather drink 1/3 less beer and enjoy it. In fact, I’d rather drink Killian’s Red or Bass or the like… ---
