# Buena Vista Social Club denied visas

Not sure if this is the proper forum to bitch about the Bush administration denying visas to BVSC and Cubanissimo in a political ploy which Karl Rove thinks will help win Florida. Lame lame lame lame LAME.

I’m a Canuck, and I can tell you that from an outsider’s perspective the whole Cuban ban thing appears petty, childish, pointless and lame.

This incident will not help that image. If there is still popular support in the US for this kind of crap, I shudder to think what kind of yokels are in the majority.

The whole Cuban ban thing is petty, childish, pointless, and lame. But you’re not going to see _any_ administration even thinking about getting rid of it until Castro is dead.

I’m a Californian, and I agree. I don’t think this sort of crap makes sense to anyone outside of Florida.
