Sure. And in Chicago, it’s not a “Chicago style hot dog”, it’s just a “hot dog,” but that really doesn’t work in the rest of the country if you are trying to talk about a specific type of hot dog. “Wings” with no modifier here could mean BBQ wings, hot wings, or something else; it may be breaded, or not; it may be smoked, baked, deep-fried, broasted, etc.

Ah. Let me educate you. Wings are indeed wings. All that other stuff … BBQ? Breaded? Ranch Dressing? Abominations before man and God, and may the Lord take mercy on your very soul for even mentioning them.

Or am I being a little over the top?
