I’ve been watching _Rocky and Bullwinkle_ reruns off-and-on for most of my life and I’m still mystified by one of the brief transitional scenes played between segments:

Silhouettes of Rocky and Bullwinkle dodge left and right while bolts of lightning carve away the landscape and they eventually fall. Outlines of R&B seems to rise against a brown background, suggesting being buried alive. Then a copse of daisies burst from the ground, along with R&B.

Can someone please explain this to me, or should I just assume Jay Ward was on some goooood shit when he came up with this?

Yes, I can picture the whole sequence and no, I can’t explain it.

Just be grateful it wasn’t prefixed by a ‘dont try this at home’ message.

There is a terrible thunder storm and an earthquake happening at the same time. It is a testimony to the enduring friendship of the pair as Rocky dosen’t just fly away above the storm but remains with his earthbound friend to the grave. But when these two push up daisies they still live to tell the tale.
