# Bundaberg Rum - do you know it?

Absolutely. In fact, I’m surprised they are allowed in this day and age.

Typical ad: a camp site full of young lads and a nearby camp site full of nubile blonde bimbettes. The “Bundy Bear” shows up, scares the girls, and they all run to the lads’ campsite for protection. Bear winks and says to lads, “no need to thank me, fellas”. Or it was something like that.

Also, I’m not a rum drinker, but I know guys who are, and they swear it’s utter shite. There are good Australian rums out there, and Bundy isn’t one of them. CSR used to make their own range called “Inner Circle” which even I liked.

Well it is made in QLD.

On the other hand by any fair calculation that makes it 1978 vintage, so it should get some respect for age.

I’ve heard of it, but only because I was stationed in Germany and took some ski trips to Austria. I’m working on 15 year old memories here, but I remember it tasted like gasoline.

They still make Inner Circle rum, A few of my friends really like it, i can’t stand the stuff. Bundy is good with coke or ginger beer.
