And I’d counter with Kent State and every other time police or troops opened up on left-wing demonstrators. I didn’t say that right-wingers never open fire, just that you can have armed men at a right wing rally and not have an incident. You can’t do that with left wing rallies.

Yes that was a tragedy, and it happened just 48 years ago. We’ve learned a bit since then. Things are a bit different, now. We still have room for improvement, but if you have to reach back that far to find an example of something that you are trying to claim is relevant to a contemporary issue, you are reaching.
