Impressive. My "Turn it off turn it OFF!!!’ reflex kicked into full force by 20 seconds in.

I don’t really have anything to add, but I’m reminded of the Waltzing Matilda pop-up video for the 2000 summer games.

“First time singing on national television.”
“Last time singing on national television.”
So I was just wondering if there are any other famous examples of bungled anthem renditions out there (Roseanne aside, please).
Not a musical bungle perhaps, but do we get to count the err… “wardrobe malfunction” of [Lucy Lawless](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucy_Lawless) while singing the US anthem at an NHL game? 🙂
Why do we have to have national anthems at sporting events? Unless it’s at an international championship, I don’t see any need at all.
And if you do have the anthem sung, make sure the person singing it can hit all the notes. It’s not an easy song to sing well.
