# burn remedies...need answer fast.

Cecil had a column about burns, ages ago (it might have even been the first book) and he said that putting butter on a burn is like frying it after roasting it. The oils retain heat and cause further damage. You want everything to get back to normal body temperature as fast as possible. Moisturize later.
