Oddly enough, I was listening to NPR today and they did a little segment where people were supposed to call in and tell them about their roots in the US (it’s Columbus Day). One guy (or gal, don’t remember) said he had one or two ancestors who had been burned at the stake in Salem. So I guess it is a meme out there.
