# Burt Muston

Could it be true that this guy is still alive. I remember him playing a very old geezer on many 60’s TV shows including “Leave it to Beaver” and “Dragnet.” By the time he had a minor role on “All in the Family” he looked like he was about 85. I swear I saw him the other day on a very recently made commercial (for what I can no longer remember). Am I seeing things?

Burt Must_i_n died 1/28/1977, 2 weeks short of his 93[sup]rd[/sup] birthday.

Even though he was in radio and theater off and on for 30 years before, he didn’t start his movie and TV career until 1951, _when he was 67!_

His last professional production was an episode of “Phyllis”, where his character marries Mother Dexter (Judith Lowry). Lowry died one month before the episode aired, Mustin one month after.

Are you sure you weren’t watching TVLand, which re-airs classic TV commercials along with classic TV shows. Or maybe his image was digitally added to some new commercial.
