Dude, I didn’t vote for him either time, yet there he is in office anyway. Apparently, to a significant number of people, it indeed doesn’t matter much whether he or members of his administration lie or not.

Now, when I first read this quote, it seemed to me that the context was answering a question regarding the necessity of renewing the Patriot Act. In that context, this is not a lie.

Now I have discovered that this statement was made NOT in response to a question, but essentially volunteered in a more general context, NOT in a Patriot Act discussion. That makes all the difference.

So - a lie.

Bricker, I have to say that when I first started reading this board I considered you to be just another Republican shill, but the more I have read of you the more I have found you to be a well reasoned individual capable of weighing both sides of the issue fairly. I think some people still hold to my previous assessment though, as evidenced by some of the replies to your posts. I read the political threads more than post to them, but have found yours to be an excellent representation of thoughtful conservatism.

Oh, and for those who are annoyed with the “not criminal lies” statement of his, that was what this flaming liberal was going to post about until Bricker beat him to it. I guess we just need to have an investigation of the administration for any of their misdeeds. Then when the inevitable lies start flowing you can nail them for it.
