RTF: I didn’t read your post carefully enough. I had just read the Pit thread, and my post would be more appropriate for that. I see now that you were not making any comparisons between Kosovo and Iraq, and that Bush seemed to have no idea exactly what his policy was for Kosovo.
Kosovo might become independent without a war. If it simply declares independence, and the U.S. recognizes it, and neither the Serbians nor the Russians are willing to go to war over the point, then its independence will be a fait accompli.
