If these were terrorists, who would otherwise be attacking the US elsewhere in the world, where were they in 2002 ? Show me somewhere in the world which had hundreds of sucide bombings a year in 2002 which all miraculously stopped when the terrorists all moved to Iraq. Its not like there weren’t any targets, the world is full of vacationing westerners, usually not as heavily armed as the ones in Iraq at the moment. The only conclusion is that the current terrorists in Iraq WEREN’T terrorists in 2002. The invasion of Iraq is the reason they went from sitting in a Mosque in Saudi Arabia or Syria, bitching about Americans and Zionists, to actually going and doing something about it. ---

FTR I despise President Bush and think he is quite likely the worst president ever to afflict this country. The OP was meant to show the absurdity of Bush’s war on terrorism and how all the things he has done to “protect us” haven’t done any such thing. He has made matters worse. He has only kept the homeland “safe” by offering those we are fighting against far better targets of opportunity that advance their agenda elsewhere. ---
