I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am SICK TO FUCKING DEATH of Bush threads. Yeah, he’s the most deluded and dumb president of the US since whenever. Yeah, he’s a complete and utter wanker/cunt for the Iraq invasion and its aftermath. How many times does it have to be said on this board though? If you are so passionate about his demise, how about you get off yer’ internet bum/s and get out into the public political arena to ACTIVELY change the colour of US politics. If ‘cuntdom’ was a word, what would it mean? I’d think the ruler in a cuntdom would be the person who was able to say, “all your cunts are belong to me!” So if Bush ruled over a cuntdom, I’m sure there’d be _lots_ of coup attempts! ---

“Opposition to tyranny” Is that what this was? I think you need to take a step back and get a wee bit of perspective. As lousy a president as Bush is, he isn’t a Tyrant. When a Tyrant is running your country, you’re not going to be able to list all the citizens he’s illegally imprisoned on a post-it note, you’ll need a book. You’re not going to be able to complain that your protest was pushed off to a “free speech zone” because you’ll be in jail, or dead. You’re not going to be able to complain that there’s some new wire-tapping rule, because you’ll never hear about it until they come to drag your ass away. You won’t get to complain that the election was rigged, because everybody will know it’s rigged even before they go to vote, but you’re damn well going to vote for him anyway, aren’t you? Get a grip. ---

With all due respect, **Cheesesteak** , I think Bush is trying to be as big a tyrant as he possibly can. Thanks to our stable and robust political system, the damage has been limited. By “limited” I mean “horrendous,” but ere long his term will end and we’ll be free of the fucking bastard. But don’t give Bush any credit for non-tyranny that is owed the system! I have little doubt that, if he felt it was politically feasible, Bush would declare martial law and rule as a dictator. ---

What damage has he done to the nation that wouldn’t be reversed 2 years into the Clinton/Obama presidency? The only thing I’ve got is the long term diplomatic effect of the Iraq war, even that can be dealt with eventually. ---
