Wow, Kerry wants to respect people of every faith and even non-faith?

How utterly novel.

What does due process have to do with the “under god” decision? That’s pure SOCAS.

What are you talking about? Taney was NOT a strict constuctionst - the basis of Dred Scott was the ORIGINAL Substantive Due Process decision. It’s exactly what Bush is against.

You’re not listening to what the president actually said. The part that he got so dead wrong was not that it was an example of substantive due process. But that he claimed slavery was not supported by the constitution. Because in 1856 it most definitely was.

“I can’t take an articel of faith, and legislate it for people who don’t share that faith…”

Yep. Is it totally pathetic to be squealing in delight merely because a candidate has acknowledged that atheists and agnostics _exist_ and are worthy of respect?

I don’t care. I’m squealing anyway.

Novel answer considering they weren’t talking about slavery. :dubious:

I stated that it was a good answer to the abortion question. It’s what I believe regarding abortion.

Do you have a thought on it or just a bag of straw?

Of course he is, with the same religious right rhetoric that he loves to use.
