Bush-Kerry Debate: Part Deux

It’s not petty, but it does give the Republicans a favorably-tilted playing field.

And they play off of it.

When they hit you, it’s because they’re stronger and in the majority. When you hit them, it’s because you’re cruel, heartless and ‘piling on’.

Random, there are assholes in every party; for every Ann Coulter, there’s a Michael Moore. Vote on the issues, not on the personalities of one segment of a party’s supporters. It’s the same idea that because one gay guy in the Pit acts like an ass, all gay people should be denied equal rights.

It may be good enough for you dio, but there are undecided voters that need to hear specifics to be swayed. Kerry needs to say 'em.

Yankees 7, Twins 1, going to the bottom of the sixth.

Is it wrong to feel sorry for Bush, even though I’m pretty far left?

Anyone know where I can get a bumpersticker that says, “Anybody but Bush”?

BTW, gobear I apologize for the comparison. On reflection, I acknowledge that your posts on this board show balance and nuance that the others’ don’t.

The people here don’t think Kerry is doing that great. He’s going in loops and giving the same speeches.

Say, all this stuff Kerry’s talking about; does he by any chance have a plan?

Let me put it this way. I was resolved that, if necessary, I would vote for "Fightin’’ Joe"Lieberman. 'Cause he’s not Bush.

I agree. I still haven’t heard anything all that useful out of Kerry or Edwards. Though, to be honest, I haven’t been expecting much out of the debates.

I love that Kerry included himself in that top group whom the tax cuts benefited…and then said he was happy to give the cuts up to help the middle-class.

I thought small businesses could buy health insurance together for lower rates.

Bush on jobs: incoherent.

Ooh damn, I missed that. In what context was it used?

Hell, the Democrats could have nominated a candidate who woofs, and eats his dinner from a bowl on the floor, and he’d have had my vote. That’s how bad a President I think Bush has been.

Wait, now Bush is defending Edwards’ S-Corp tax “loophole”?

Thank you, Random.

Ethanol? That’s pork barrel legislation, not practical energy policy.

Who asked you? Huh? Who?

Very true. Course Bush is too.

The key right now is the tone of the candidates. I bet the pundits are going to spend a lot of time on how defensive Bush sounds and his cutting off of Gibson. Bush needs to get control and fast.
