Want to bet Bush mentions God and God Bless AMerica etc ?
Bush talks slow, makes declarative statements. Kerry talks fast, references at least three times per statement.
Bush wins.
Tell me Duhbya didn’t say what he just said.
Wasn’t the question what are three mistakes that Bush made? Kerry is answering that question.
True that. I was gonna start a thread. Whew.
I hope not. My blood alcohol level is already near lethal.
A person has a constitutional right to property, and when the property is a slave, the right cannot be extinguished merely because the slave moves to a free state. It had NOTHING to do with the standing of the slave to sue.
Hmm… I don’t claim to know have any particular expertise on this issue, and this may be the first time I disagree with Bricker and one of the few times I agree with Guin, but I don’t thinbk sh’e entirely wrong:
“4. A free negro of the African race, whose ancestors were brought to this country and sold as slaves, is not a ‘citizen’ within the meaning of the Constitution of the United States.
5. When the Constitution was adopted, they were not regarded in any of the States as members of the community which constituted the State, and were not numbered among its ‘people or citizens.’ Consequently, the special rights and immunities guarantied to citizens do not apply to them. And not being ‘citizens’ within the meaning of the Constitution, they are not entitled to sue in that character in a court of the United States, and the Circuit Court has not jurisdiction in such a suit.”
I’m off to play some IL2:Sturmovik, so you will have to operate without the benefit of my wisdom tonight (Just presume that I completely agree with **Diogenes ** again)
But I must say this:
Missouri, you are God-awfully frumpy and poorly dressed. And for Pete’s sake, stop slouching on national television!
Didn’t Bush get the last word in the first debate too?
How does he get the last word in this one as well?
if he was president…
saddam would still be in power…
and the world would be a lot better off
Who was it that was drinking every time they heard “I have a plan”? Are you drunk yet?!
Weeelllll, yes, I suppose. I must have interpreted it wrong.
He’d say unborn life is innocent, somebody who’s chosen to kill somebody else and been found guilty by a jury is not and has forfeited his ROL. (FTR, I’m a seamless-garment pro-lifer, no artificial snuffing out at the end or beginning of a life).
But anyway…it’s a draw for me. Bush made some stupid mistakes but also got across some good points. Kerry I agree with more but he sounded a little too defensive and preachy sometimes.
Bricker right–Dred Scott v Sandford hinged on the property rights of slaveholders being infringed without due process. Google Substantive Due Process for more info.
Which one? He’s said a LOT of things he shouldn’t have.
I predict a replay of the last debates finalizations.
Kerry: “May God bless America.”
Bush: “May God continue to bless Americal. Trumped ya, motherfucker!! Ha!”
Wow, I was particularly incoherent there.
Nearly dead, thanks for aksing
By that logic, there is no such thing as an abortion, period.
