Maeglin, if I am correctly picking up your tone, I don’t think that’s really fair. DDG made some valid points, and successfully refuted some of mine. We’ve said all there really is to say about this, and we’re both calling it quits. I have no doubt that DDG could come back with plenty of other cites and arguments, and so could I. But at some point you just have to stop, because you just keep repeating yourself.
As someone else said, she’s a tough debater. I got sloppy with my cites, and she caught me. She went a bit over the top in her criticism, and I called her on it. And now we’re done. If we lived in the same city, I’d offer to buy her a beer and toast a fight well fought.

You are correctly picking up my tone, yes, and yes, it was intended to be derisive.
My reading of the above discussion is somewhat different. I’m glad you both found the debate at least somewhat satisfactory. Sorry to let my own frustrations with what I view as a gross misinterpretation of some fairly serious issues interfere, and I withdraw my interlocutory remark.
